5 smart cooking tips for new brides

While marriage is a breezy affair packed with fun, excitement and vicissitude for most of us, it is the life after, which is the real challenge, particularly for the bride.

With the profound change, as to moving into someone else's house, to adapting to a different way of living, to being agreeable and pleasing to gain  acceptance in the family-the task is way too daunting for a girl who has spent half her life not doing much, except an occasional foray into home affairs.

But it is not so thorny afterall if you know the right tips and tricks. The easiest way to get into the heart of a home is to gain command over kitchen. If you are a good cook, you are a winner!

1. Knowing the taste: The first key to success in kitchen is to know the taste of the family members. If they love Indian food, showing off your western culinary skills will be pointless and if you are a spice queen and they love relatively bland food, you are most likely to send them to the physician with your mirch-masala tadka! So ask, ask and ask, before and after marriage and learn what your family loves to eat.

“But when the time comes that a man has had his dinner, then the true man comes to the surface.”
Mark Twain
